Hillary’s D-Day Blunder: Proof She Still Doesn’t Get It!

If there was any doubt remaining that Hillary Clinton is a contemptuous unelectable partisan, the loser of the 2016 presidential election provided another clear reminder on Thursday.

According to the twice-failed candidate, voting against Donald Trump this November is the same heroic act in defense of democracy as storming the beaches of Normandy on D-Day.

“Eighty years ago today, thousands of brave Americans fought to protect democracy on the shores of Normandy,” Clinton wrote in a post on X. “This November, all we have to do is vote.”

While voting is a vital right and crucial to preserving our ideals, it is not the same as the incredible sacrifice made by those who fought and died on D-Day. Checking a few boxes in a voting booth is important, but it doesn’t compare to the heroism of those who faced actual evil and tyranny on the beaches of Normandy.

When Americans cast their ballots this November, they won’t face perilous, mine-filled waters or heavy artillery fire. They won’t need to scale cliffs with grappling hooks or witness the loss of friends in bloody chaos. Defeating Trump at the polls will not liberate millions from tyranny.

Clinton’s comparison diminishes the indescribable valor of the American and Allied forces on D-Day. In her twisted “democracy v. fascism” narrative, Trump is Hitler, his supporters are Nazis, and Democrats are the heroic liberators. This ignores the reality that her beloved party is mired in anti-American activism, cheers for barbaric Hamas terrorists, and routinely disrespects the flag under which D-Day’s heroes fought.

Clinton’s tone-deaf and insulting comparison is another “basket of deplorables” moment, highlighting why she lost the 2008 primary to Obama and the 2016 election to Trump. She still, as demonstrated with this post, can’t figure out why.
