Power Move: RFK Jr., Tulsi Join Trump’s Team

Donald Trump’s campaign confirmed on Tuesday that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard have officially joined his presidential transition team. The move, which has drawn attention across the political spectrum, is being touted as a strategic effort to bolster Trump’s already diverse base of supporters.

Brian Hughes, a senior adviser to the campaign, expressed his enthusiasm in a statement to The Epoch Times, saying, “As President Trump’s broad coalition of supporters and endorsers expands across partisan lines, we are proud to have Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard on the Trump/Vance Transition team. Their voices will be instrumental as we work to restore America’s greatness.”

The timing of this announcement comes right after Kennedy revealed that Trump had offered him a role in the transition team, should the former president secure another term in the White House. Kennedy, who had recently suspended his independent presidential bid, made it clear during an interview with Tucker Carlson that he’s ready to take on the challenge. “I’ve been asked to go on to the transition team, you know, to help pick the people who will be running the government, and I’m looking forward to that,” Kennedy stated.

Kennedy’s decision to back Trump has raised eyebrows, especially given that he had previously been considered a potential spoiler for Trump in some key states. However, Kennedy clarified that his name would remain on ballots in states where it wouldn’t significantly affect the outcome, emphasizing his commitment to getting Trump re-elected.

Meanwhile, Tulsi Gabbard, the former Democratic congresswoman from Hawaii, also threw her support behind Trump, officially joining the transition team as well. Gabbard, who ran for president in 2020, praised Trump for his approach to international relations. Speaking at an event in Detroit, she lauded Trump for “having the courage to meet with adversaries, dictators, allies, and partners alike in the pursuit of peace,” highlighting the dangerous global landscape we currently face.

In addition to Kennedy and Gabbard, Trump has already named former WWE executive Linda McMahon and billionaire businessman Howard Lutnick as co-chairs of his transition team. His sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, are also on board as honorary chairs, along with his running mate, Senator JD Vance.

It’s clear that Trump is assembling a transition team that reflects his unconventional approach to politics, bringing together figures from various political backgrounds who share his vision for America’s future. Whether this strategy will pay off remains to be seen, but it’s certainly making waves in the political arena.
