Biden’s Cabinet Ghosts: No Full Meeting in Year

As has become undeniable, Joe Biden is no longer the politician he once was… and even then he wasn’t great.

A career stretching back more than half a century to 1970 is likely to end within the coming months. The polls – unusually favorable for a Republican – suggest Donald Trump will win the presidential election in November. Whether President Biden will be Trump’s opponent is still uncertain, though Biden insists he intends to stay in the race.

His fiercest critics argue that it’s been a long time coming. However, if there was any doubt about Biden’s future, even his strongest allies are struggling to defend his public gaffes. Confusing the presidents of a hostile country (Volodymyr Zelensky with Vladimir Putin) and an ally is unforgettable, and downright embarrassing, when the latter has received billions in taxpayer dollars to support his country’s war against an aggressor.

Behind closed doors, the story is much the same. A CNN report details the Cabinet meetings – or lack thereof – hosted by the President. The few he does attend are preluded with submitted questions or key talking points, with one source describing it as “kind of an act.”

Cabinet meetings are reportedly so infrequent that it has been some nine months since the last one on October 2, 2023. Perhaps it’s why few Democrats have spoken on Biden’s condition, given that they have not seen him for the better part of a year (though it’s more likely they knew and pretended otherwise).
