Democratic strategist Doug Schoen has sounded the alarm for the Democratic Party, claiming there’s “disorientation on the ground,” especially in critical swing states like Pennsylvania and Michigan. Just a few weeks out from Election Day, it seems like the Harris campaign is floundering. Schoen described the situation as “a very bad sign,” with his Democratic contacts confirming the reports of chaos. It looks like the so-called blue wall of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania is crumbling, and the Democrats are struggling to hold it together.
Schoen didn’t mince words when he appeared on The Ingraham Angle, pointing out that there’s a lack of organization and clarity in Harris’s messaging. According to him, the campaign is all over the place, with no solid closing message or strategy. This kind of disarray isn’t exactly inspiring confidence, especially when the election is so close. And after watching Kamala Harris stumble through her interview with Bret Baier, it’s clear they haven’t figured out how to finish strong.
One of the biggest issues, Schoen noted, is that Harris hasn’t managed to separate herself from the policies of President Joe Biden. Instead of offering a fresh vision, she’s sticking to the same talking points. When Baier pressed her on polling data that showed 79% of respondents think the country is headed in the wrong direction, Harris’s response was less than reassuring—she deflected, suggesting that Trump’s candidacy was the real issue. Not exactly a masterclass in leadership.
As for her appearance on Fox News, Schoen suggested it may have done more harm than good. Instead of winning over undecided voters, Harris seemed confused and struggled to provide clear answers to straightforward questions. It’s hard to imagine this interview swaying anyone who’s on the fence, and it might even push some voters away.
In the end, Schoen’s take is that Harris’s campaign is in trouble. The lack of a clear message, the failure to offer a coherent plan, and the general sense of disarray are all signs that the Democrats could be in for a rough ride as Election Day approaches. Whether they can turn things around remains to be seen, but the clock is ticking, and the voters are watching.
IMO, this was the worst moment of the night for @KamalaHarris
