You’d think the vice president’s team would know better by now. But then again, every day with this administration brings a new lesson in just how out of touch they really are. Hurricane Helene just tore through the southern United States, dumping an insane 40 trillion gallons of rain and leaving destruction in its wake. It’s already being called one of the deadliest storms in U.S. history, with at least 200 people confirmed dead and hundreds still unaccounted for. You’d expect the administration to be all hands on deck, but apparently, they’ve got other priorities.
For starters, the response has been painfully slow. Thousands of people are without power or clean water, and that’s not expected to change anytime soon. So what’s the solution from the Biden-Harris team? A $750 check for people who’ve lost everything. That’s right, they think a few hundred bucks is going to make everything better for hurricane victims. And if that’s not bad enough, FEMA is apparently running low on funds because they’ve been diverting money to help illegal immigrants. You just can’t make this stuff up.
Meanwhile, in the middle of all this chaos, the Biden-Harris administration decided to swoop in and show just how much they care… about Lebanon. Yep, while Americans are struggling to get basic necessities, Kamala Harris announced a generous $157 million in aid for the people of Lebanon. Sure, Israeli airstrikes in Beirut are terrible, but what about the people suffering here at home? The tone-deafness is truly next level. Kamala even had the nerve to post on social media, expressing her deep concern for the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon, while completely ignoring the crisis in her own backyard.
Here’s the kicker: Harris went on to explain that this $157 million is for food, shelter, water, and sanitation for the people of Lebanon. So while Americans are left scrambling for the same basic necessities, our vice president is busy writing checks for another country. And if you’re keeping track, this brings the total U.S. aid to Lebanon over the past year to more than $385 million. But don’t worry, folks, your $750 check is in the mail.
Once again, Kamala Harris proves she’s woefully unqualified for higher office. Whether it’s a lack of intelligence, a complete disregard for the issues, or just plain indifference toward Americans who don’t fit her political agenda, she’s out here making it clear she’s not fit to lead. If this is the best they’ve got, it’s no wonder the country is in such a mess.
